Meet the new CA-23! Covering some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, the district includes the historic Route 66 city of Victorville, High Desert outpost Barstow, and charming Twentynine Palms. It stretches from the southern edge of Death Valley National Park in the north to the northern stretch of Joshua Tree National Park in the south.
To the east, we have the California/Nevada state line, with Vegas just a stone’s throw away, and to the west, we find ourselves on the outskirts of the Inland Empire, up the hill from the sprawling edges of Las Angeles. But we’re not just pass-through country: CA-23 is a home for arts and culture; nature and adventure. Our neighbors include indigenous people, the descendants of Dust Bowl-era Okies, and immigrants from around the world. This is an area of endless potential and profound inspiration and it deserves a champion who will fight for its beauty and promise.
